About
Hello! My name is Ian Stocker, and I am a Game Designer with a passion for designing and creating games meant to tell stories.
I specialize in narrative, gameplay, and audio design. However, I also have experience with 3D modeling, game programming, and the organization of playtests. These skills come from hands-on experience with Unity, Unreal Engine 5, C++, Maya, Pro Tools, the Adobe Suite, and Visual Studio. Besides these skills, I also have experience with being the captain of an eSports team, teaching, and organizing tabletop roleplay sessions.
My portfolio contains various examples of my work. Within it, you can find both self-made prototypes as well as team-based projects on which I served a variety of design-oriented roles.
The most recent highlight of my work was my role in DePaul University’s 2025 IMPACT Program. During this program, I served as the primary gameplay designer of The All-Imagining, a thought-provoking virtual experience that was designed to be used as an installation in a public space.
As a game designer, I love turning simple ideas into interesting and fun concepts for games through storyboarding, prototyping, and playtesting. I am an enthusiastic, inspired, and flexible person. I never run out of ideas and am always willing to learn new skills so that I can help create even better products.
If you’re interested in reviewing my work, working together, or even just chatting about video games, feel free to reach out to me!
